Welcome to Strawberry Lane School, a dedicated learning environment for young people aged 11 to 19 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). As Headteacher it is my privilege to lead this exceptional school.

With over 15 years of experience in various education settings, including extensive leadership roles within ASC-specific settings, I am committed to fostering a school where every pupil feels valued, safe, and inspired to achieve their full potential. Our mission is to provide an outstanding holistic education that is both tailored to the unique needs of our pupils and designed to prepare them for fulfilling futures.

At Strawberry Lane School, we believe that each pupil should feel embraced as they’re all unique, and we celebrate their individuality. Our skilled and compassionate staff work tirelessly to create a nurturing and supportive atmosphere, where pupils are encouraged to grow both academically and socially. We integrate therapeutic approaches to ensure that every child feels ready and motivated to learn.

We take pride in offering a learning experience that respects and responds to these needs, empowering our pupils to thrive in their own way. Our approach is one of inclusivity, respect, and encouragement, aimed at uncovering each pupil’s hidden talents and guiding them towards success.

I am proud to be the Deputy Head Teacher at Strawberry Lane and bring with me almost twenty years of experience in education. Throughout my career, I have worked across a variety of educational settings, including mainstream schools, specialist provisions, and pupil referral units. This breadth of experience has given me a deep understanding of the diverse needs of learners and the importance of creating inclusive, nurturing environments where all students can thrive.
I am passionate about education and firmly believe in the power it has to transform lives. Supporting students to become the best version of themselves is at the heart of everything I do. I place great value on collaboration and the impact of effective multi-agency working to ensure the best possible outcomes for every child. I am committed to fostering a culture where high expectations, strong relationships, and personalised support go hand in hand.
Together, we are laying the foundations for a school where every child feels valued and heard, inspired and equipped to succeed—not just academically, but as confident, compassionate individuals ready to take their place in the world.
